Ten weeks of spelling pattern activities for your third graders. In this activity, students build words using known spelling patterns in order to figure out the mystery word. Reciprocal Teaching Cards

This strategy is great for students to reinforce their own learning and allow for deeper understanding of a concept taught. John Hattie identifies reciprocal teaching as having a .74 effect size on student growth!

Reciprocal Teaching Role Cards

Reciprocal teaching is a strategy for scaffolding meta-cognition for the reading process. Use these role cards for small group instruction. Have students predict, read, clarify, question, and summarize while the teacher coaches and assesses. This is an excellent strategy for Tier 2 and 3 intervention for comprehension.
